CCLXVI - Pooh is high.

.
.Mad Kane has a regular limerick challenge.
She provides the first line, the rest is up to us.
While I believe a limerick should be risqué,
I played this one straight.

A bear who was terribly high
Regretted his decision to fly.
“While it is rather sunny,
There’s an  absence of hunny,
And the bees are in oversupply."

  1. A bear who was terribly high
Could see the cops were nigh
    Desperate to hide his honey-pot
He got his knickers in a knot
He knew they’d not turn a blind eye

  2. A bear who was terribly high
    Realised that pigs could fly
    Comforted at not being alone
    They reached heights unknown
    Soaring through a cobalt sky

  5. that honey high will get you (or at least a pooh) high all the time. plus, i've always suspected his honey pots contained mead..

  6. Limericks are hard to resist
    Like a late afternoon triste
If you can write lines in time
And make the right words rhyme
The put limericks on your list

I think yours is much better. Great post.

  7. Wasn't that illustrator of the Winnie the Pooh series just so very clever. I could look at his drawings of Pooh and Piglet and Christopher Robin all day long.

You've come this far - thank you.
Take your time, look around,
There is lots to see.
