827 - After

Haiku Horizons has the prompt “After”.

We race on blindly,
Never stopping to wonder—
What are we after?

The harsh aftermath
Of quick and rash decisions—
The pits of regret.

After all has been said
And all that can be, has been done,
More is said than done.
