856 - Bits and pieces

Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week are: knotted, livid and impolite.

It’s called ‘seeing red’:
Livid, a hot haze descends,
Reason is absent.

People do stupid stuff.
If it’s impolite to point
Can I just snigger?

“You should just stay calm”
“Don’t get your knickers knotted”
Neither advice helps.

    1. If smiling doesn't work, you may snigger.

    1. Indeed. Sadly, in real life, there is not a Cmd_Z undo button.

  5. Advice (particularly of the unsolicited variety) rarely does help. And can cause me to see red.

  6. Go on snigger away, they may not think it is about them.

    1. Thank you. It is hard not to be succinct in a senryu. It hobbles my natural tendency to run off at the mouth. =:-O

  10. As much as I want to do the pointing out of something or someone I dislike &/or something stupid or someone doing stupid stuffs, not all people are actually open to get hurt from honest feedbacks, so yeah... most often than not I prefer to just keep things up to myself, silently correcting them. :) I like these kind of Haikus! :)

    1. Thank you. Yes, granted, we should not hurt gratuitously. As I get older, I am slowly learning to be more careful.

  11. Each part is a succinct reminder of the foibles of humankind. I enjoyed the search for each word you tucked away.

  12. Wise words, JC. Sometimes one does need to be able to just 'snigger.'

  13. I think pointing out other's stupidity really never helps... maybe walk away and maybe at a later stage just laugh at it.

  14. I love how you have woven these 3 together....they flow together wonderfully! Many times there is little reason or help in others advice to us.

  17. When that livid hot haze descends, the advice to stay calm sometimes raises the temperature ;-)
