1002 - The Magician

Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week are:

dazzle, erupt, flimsy

The Magician

When they erupt
Onto our stage
They dazzle us
With jewels,
Hypnotise us
Like foolish chooks
with their verbal tools.
Flimsy,
Insubstantial whimsy—
It hooks.
It hooks because we are game
And, even knowing the damage,
We buy it all the same.

  7. I agree with Elizabeth .. we see what we want to see, and hear what we want to hear... and often we have a rude awakening!

  16. One knows it is all a game, a sleight of hand, not to believe to be true yet one buys it.
