Some people have more organised tours than others...
Tourists as Sheep
Carrying roses, they walk in a line,
Like sheep in a field, well crossed.
A plastic label displays their name,
In case the poor darlings get lost.
Orchestrated to the minute,
The group disappears afar.
Sipping beer from the side lines
I gently murmur ‘Baaa!’

you must have come across my m.i.l's group!
ReplyDeleteSome of us have no sense of direction in foreign lands, we need to be herded. :)
ReplyDeleteDid you say 'Baaa' or 'Bar'? xoxo ♡
Well, I was sipping a beer...
ReplyDeleteGreat poem on sheeple.
ReplyDeleteYeah Tourists, and concert goers and city people getting off the train or the bus on their way too and from work etc etc, Ha you are clever.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, this made me snile- For one I like sheep and for two, I totally do the touristy thing - in a group, like sheep!
ReplyDeleteI always got in trouble during school trips for wandering away from the group.
ReplyDeletelol! I like it. And so true.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me while I shudder and retreat to my local pub.
ReplyDeleteTo be part of a tour... or not to be. Maybe I'd join one if I were going to Turkey or Africa or someplace where I felt not necessarily 100% welcome as a US citizen. Otherwise, I like the sense of adventure and freedom.
ReplyDeleteLOL! And was the sheep leader carrying a flag so that the others wouldn't be lost?
