848 - The left.

Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week are: pathetic, radical and seamless

The left.

Once on middle ground
But the centre has shifted—
Nouveau radical.

Seamless transition
To a bleeding heart leftie
But I haven’t moved.

Fair weather friendships
Just one storm and they are gone.
Pathetic really.

  1. I too am a bleeding heart, chardonnay swilling (despite my preference for Merlot) leftie. All while standing still.

  3. Best friends are found in adversity whereas the fair weather ones should always be avoided.

  4. Wherever we stand good friends will be there..regardless off left, right or middle!

  5. terse and crisp this threesome - I like the inference too that stormy words between bleeding heart leftie and old nouveau radical friends have caused a rift - politics is just hot wind - pathetic!

  6. Excellent! Politics of the moment scare me. And, about fair weather friends, yes so true.

  7. I think somewhere it's the world that move while I stand still, but real friendship is never about left or right.

  14. Fair weather friendships is a gone case. One needs to know of the 'betrayal'just once and no more. Not worth the bother!
