CCLVII - Love Bite

.

.Mad Kane has a regular limerick challenge.
She provides the first line, the rest is up to us.
This is a third go at the previous prompt.

A guy in the mood for a bite
Wears a cape and travels by night.
There’s a cave where he hangs
And polishes his fangs
While dreaming of necks that excite.

  1. Cosmos,
Love bites and vampire fangs! Is there much feelings and emotions in drawing blood? Probably yes, going by the likes of Dracula!

  3. Really master, you should not excite the young women.

  4. of course, in this day of Lost Boys vampires, and the modernized Bram Stoker's Dracula...it's funny to see Bela grace the screen.
HOWEVER, it is not without precedent.

Turns out the Chinese are too wrapped up in cheaper is better, and the refitting of newer, more bloodier looking vampires is beyond their capacity to market...which means that, half the costumes in the stores are Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, and a mismanaged werewolf that almost looks like Lon Chaney

    (old. It's what we are)

and the other half are cartoon characters that never change, anyway.

I really can't see what the big gripe against the Chinese marketing plan is all about. They sell wet paint antiques. If we're stupid enough to buy them, so be it.

On the other hand, a fine new limerick to celebrate Bela's birthday (October 20, same as one of my cousin's) is quite an honor to a man who neither received due compensation for his roles, nor the fame accompanying other, less convincing actors.

    Good job, JCosmo.
At least there will be a smile in one coffin this Halloween....
