Mad Kane has a regular limerick challenge.
She provides the first line, the rest is up to us.
This started as one limerick, grew to three limericks
and then compressed to a hybrid sort of thing:
Putting on Airs
Putting on Airs
A woman was putting on airs,
Rich due to inherited shares.
But, with her nose elevated,
Misfortune awaited,
And she tripped and fell down the stairs.
A scream passed her lips
And she cashed in her chips
But her money passed on to her heirs,
Who spent it on wining,
Some quite serious dining,
And a few sordid but well-published affairs.
Rich due to inherited shares.
But, with her nose elevated,
Misfortune awaited,
And she tripped and fell down the stairs.
A scream passed her lips
And she cashed in her chips
But her money passed on to her heirs,
Who spent it on wining,
Some quite serious dining,
And a few sordid but well-published affairs.

ReplyDeleteOkay, I must confess that typically I find the 'see more posts like this one' to be overkill ..... in YOUR case, cosmo, I'm reading old posts that are quite funny and ummmm .... titillating (I just read the one about your favorite word 'cleave')
ReplyDeleteHmmm .... guess I'm taking a walk on the wild side ... hahahaha

ReplyDeleteI've fallen down stairs and the pain would have lessened if I'd had a comforting fortune behind me xx
ReplyDeleteShe got her just desserts (sorry, couldn't resist).
