Reflection 2 - The Pie Maker

The Pie Maker.

Bright-eyed,
Round-faced,
Cute as pie.

A genius, we are told.

She can recite
The first one hundred digits
Of the number Pi.

An irrational response
To an irrational number.

There are far better things
To be making.

With mud.

And joy.

  1. How blissful that would be...but with so little rain about and the heat of the sun on the rise outside today...I think sitting under a cool shower will have to be my suitable substitute to pie making....mud or otherwise!

But before that I just have to finish reading today's paper!

Happy Sunday to you, Cosmo! :)

    1. Technically it is the same as remembering the first 100 digits of page 47 of the telephone book. Just because it is 'pi', it has some sort of magical value.

  4. Oh, I'd far rather play in the mud too :)

  5. Yes,I agree there are far better thing to be doing with mud like making a batch of mud pies served up to teddies and dolls humming the vegemite song or hurling it at sweet sensitive poets in confessional mode.

  7. I'm content with the first three (3.14); and I agree there are a lot more fun things one can create with mud (even geniuses would agree).
