One Minute Writer has a daily prompt
that we are supposed to complete in a minute.
Never going to make the time limit with a long poem
but a limerick is in with a fighting chance.
Today's prompt was 'Time Machine'.
The Time of his Life.
A fellow returned to the past,
To visit his ancestral cast.
When he took his own mother
To be his young lover,
The ramifications were vast.

And when often by others he was asked
ReplyDeleteIf those dire ramifications would last
He replied he was sure they’d smother
Any future desire he may feel for another
No matter how many years had passed
Well, yes, that is true.
DeleteCourageous syllable count, by the way. :-)
All I can say is yikes!
ReplyDeleteYes; vast ramifications. No, I don't want to go down that thought-road.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Bears Noting
Why are ramifications so often (as deservedly here) negative?
ReplyDeleteWell, going back and interferring in your past you run the risk of never being born which means you can't go back and interfer with your past.
