Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week are: enchanted, fanatical and giddy.
A state of your mind:
To seek out the enchanting,
To avoid the dross.
◊
“Oh my giddy aunt!”
Swearing in a gentler age.
The intent’s the same.
◊
The fanatical—
They come from all the extremes:
Social outliers.

These bits and pieces feel like a tapestry..nudging at borders..if we take enchantment, giddiness and fanatical to an extreme the intent may well be less benign
ReplyDeleteFanatism seems to grow like weed in gardens or on landfills.
ReplyDeleteYou have captured fanatical as it is!
ReplyDeleteSuch a powerful write..!
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder if all three are telling one connected story...
ReplyDeletetrue...
ReplyDeleteI am especially worried by the fanatical...........I love the gentler swearing. I remember those days.
ReplyDeleteEach holds its share of wit, wisdom and observation.
ReplyDeleteLove the second.
ReplyDeleteFear the third.
Love the different themes: the deep wisdom of the first, the commentary weaving into the third... and the serious playfulness of second, which happens to be my favorite.
ReplyDeleteYes.
ReplyDeleteYup! :-)
