Ode to a Tissue II
I think that I shall never see
A tissue that remains snot free.
A tissue whose soft body’s prest
Against my nasal decongest;
A tissue that looked so clean and pure
Until it met my nose manure;
A tissue that was so neatly folded
(Best not examine what is beholded.)
The contents of this papery shell
Are the off-spring of a primordial hell.
Slime may come and slime may go
But it’s tissues that help to make it so.
