Haiku Heights has the prompt 'Ocean'.
Happily, by the time I got around to writing to the prompt,
the site had not yet closed due to flooding.

Deniers say no
But the ocean ignores them.
Levels are rising.

As a frequent resident of la-la land, I like this. A lot.
ReplyDeletePack flippers.
DeleteMethinks Mother Earth will have the definitive word on global warming! Good one, kiddo!
ReplyDeleteYep. Have to agree.
DeleteLa-la-la I can't hear you!
ReplyDeleteLa-la-la It's all cr*p!
La-la-la
Tony? Is that you? You visit my blog? I'm flattered!
DeleteStop the gloats! Stop the gloats!
DeleteMan continues to ignore warnings and global warming is 'progressing.' beautiful and apt haiku.
ReplyDeleteBut not progress as we know it, Jim! Sorry, Kalpana!
DeleteIndeed and all those small atolls and south pacific islands will be no more...and where will you take me then for romantic hols? I'm not going to the outback!
ReplyDeleteThere's always the Ventian gondola.
DeleteOh God, whatever you do, don't encourage him to sing!
DeleteYou'll go where the tide takes you. The outback of today may be the seaside of tomorrow. The Return of the Inland Sea!
Deletebeautifully portrayed a truth...brilliant...
ReplyDeleteFor God's sake! don't tell him he's brilliant. My life is difficult enough already!
DeleteShade your eyes!
DeleteNone seemed to be that alarmed!
ReplyDeleteWell, people you've been warned.
Good thoughts Cosmo!
Hank
Sadly, everyone else hopes someone else will solve the problem.
DeleteMummy fix?
DeleteFears expressed very well here and man will be the cause of his own downfall!! Time everyone turned serious!!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Past time, I fear.
Delete'levels are rising' there is so much going on in these three words...well done
ReplyDeleteSound and sound and sound the alarm... None seem to hear.

ReplyDeletePeople have just got to stop peeing in the ocean! That's what's doing it!!!
Powerful an scary! Great job
ReplyDeleteScary stuff! Well written.
ReplyDeleteLa-la land will meet a watery end eventually and then it'll be blub-blub land... That's a strong warning Cosmo, hope the world heeds it..
ReplyDeleteYes, they are. I do hope I'm gone from this world before such things happen. It's sad enough to watch it creeping in from the poles and with such severe weather events. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThere are an awful lot of King Canutes around these days!
ReplyDeleteYour brilliant! Hit the nail on the head. I expect nothing less. I wish 'they' would listen too.
ReplyDeleteHa! It will happen outside of their election cycle, so what do they care?
