Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week are:
crisis, decayed, embarrassment.
A Titanic Disaster.
Crisis? What crisis?
The media is lying,
There is no ice-berg.
◊
An embarrassment.
A cause for public concern.
When will we be safe?
◊
It can’t be decayed—
It is still so very new.
Yet there is a smell.
.

There is indeed.
ReplyDeleteShall we put the deckchairs out.. Alice will pour the cocktails
ReplyDeletePerfect! Interesting that the supposed witch hunt is about things actually being said and done. Argh.
ReplyDeleteThe smell gets worse every day. Whew!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the iceberg. That's perfect. And then in the end, I personally perceive the scent to be ice, "up close and personal." By the time you smell it, it's too late; you're about to hit it.
ReplyDeleteSome cannot see, some refuse to see, and some exist in another world.
ReplyDeleteLove the use of the iceberg and the Titanic reference.
ReplyDeleteDenying is always harder afterwards... but then it's way too late.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, subtle, immensely clever depiction of the elephant in the room.
ReplyDeleteI agree, there are things that people just refuse to see!
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting. Take away the title and this whole thing takes on a different meaning.
ReplyDeleteClever write.

I agree this is a very clever piece of social commentary/political satire. Really if I wasn't living through these 'crazy days' I don't think I could ever have imagined the current brand of 'leadership' - at the helm of a free country. But, not to worry, apparently it's all fake.
ReplyDeleteYes this is a great write. Lets hope we are not too complacent over the next few months as it looks a bit 'iffy' all over the world.
ReplyDeleteQuite so! Unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteClever!
