1033 - The One That Got Way.

Mad Kane poses a regular limerick challenge.
The key word this week is ‘wave’.

The One That Got Way.

There was an old sailor named Dave
Who’d never been near to a wave.
He just sat on the pier,
Drinking tankards of beer,
And boasting of the fish that he’d saved.

  1. and as he lay stonkard on the pier
a wee lassie crawled up to his side
she whispered sweet nothings in his ear
he awoke with a gasp and a bride

He Thought She Was Saying Hi (limerick)

Oh hearken to tale of a knave
Who couldn’t teach eyes to behave
    Soon spun at the neck
    Teeth hitting the deck
As face was deflecting a wave

Ha! Such fancies, as they can be pretty sad too if viewed from a different angle.
    Well-penned.
