A North Melbourne footpath.
Life Force
Nature is a force of power,
Subtle but unrelenting;
Changes come not by the hour
But by constantly presenting.
Like a small but nagging child,
Nature is persisting.
In this way her petition’s filed
And will go on existing.

I hope you are right. Sometimes I wonder whether the cockroaches and the algae will be all of nature's bounty which survives.
ReplyDeleteThat is true. We seem to think that if we become extinct that is the end of life. But no, life will go on without out us, despite us.
DeleteWell and wonderfully put
ReplyDeleteShe is a strong force - but I am glad she is there

Nature will resist. Once triggered off it will insist on its strengths!

Nature persists...a strong life force cannot be stopped.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely!!❤️
ReplyDeleteAnd thank goodness for that. Nature must persist, or man will break her into tiny terrible bits.
ReplyDeleteShe will go on, after ridding herself of us.
ReplyDeleteIf we wonder at Nature's persistence, we have only to look at Angkor Wat temple in the jungles of Thailand. Once an elaborate and revered temple, the jungle has reclaimed it as its own. A stirring sight. Great poem!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo to accompany your words about the persistent, unrelenting way that nature is constantly presenting. I love that!
ReplyDeleteI think nature will persist... with or without us, it's up to us.
ReplyDeleteyes...nature is constantly evolving. yet nothing is constant.
ReplyDeleteIf we keep on interfering nature might turn nasty and this could happen sooner than we think.
ReplyDeleteNature, you got it exactly right. And I'm glad it's so.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope her strength endures, for there we are human kind persisting in altering ways
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my Sunday Standard this week
