703 : The Skin Mine

Sunday Whirl (Wordle #161) presents a list of words
that we must incorporate in a writing piece.

The words this week are:

altitude, disaster, force, chaos, why, people,
plastic, alabaster, bread, mine, any, graphic.

The Skin Mine

What do people see in the porn
That fills the internet?
Watched from a discrete altitude,
To see but not to get?

Alabaster skin, with little worn,
Brazilians, t-shirts wet,
And plastic breasts that protrude
Unlike any natural set.

The actors do it for their bread,
Their willingness is sold.
But why do others interact
With something they can’t hold?

They’re not forced to put this in their head,
No disasters will unfold,
Just graphic images of a chaotic act.
Or so I have been told.

  1. A bad reaction to your cold medication?

  2. I was about to ask how you knew, but you've been told...

  3. You certainly got into a nice rhythm with this one.

  4. There's more to it than meets the eye. A nice twist Cosmo!

... or so I have been told... Yeah, right! *grin* This was such a fun write! And I see how we went in a similar direction. Yours was far better though!

  6. It must fulfil some need..for the viewer..a hollow one probably like much of today's question this most insightfully..

like what you've done with the words...the poem asks a pertinent question...which I guess many have asked, and the rhythm is good. An all around interesting and fun poem.

  8. All in the name of education...

  9. Absolutely spot on. Well wordled.

  10. Soo you've told.. very well done

  11. Use your imagination....example. Now we know. :)

  12. Well, it certainly is popular enough, J. I really have never understood-why? Well done.

  13. Are we truly to believe that last line? ;)

  14. We all know people have sex. It's a wonderful part of life, but watching a degraded version of it over and over would be boring, I think. You did a great job with the topic!

You've come this far - thank you.
Take your time, look around,
There is lots to see.
