Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week were: kneel, nasty, purr.
Demi-God
Sometimes friendly, sometimes surly,
With a hint of feline smirk,
These furry little assassins
Are nasty bits of work.
They know
The status quo
Begins
When you house becomes their run.
A truth you should learn quite early,
They’ll kneel before no-one.

I have always lived with the furry tyrants - and would agree.
ReplyDeleteDogs have masters, cats have slaves. Not servants, slaves. Servants get time off and wages...
My two furry rascals have the run of the house...I'm just the lowly boarder!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm definitely a dog person.
ReplyDeleteDogs have owner's but cats have staff... much truth in this.
ReplyDeleteThey impose their will on others without a care. This is well experienced by grandparents who have to give way to their grandees!
ReplyDeleteHank

ReplyDeleteDelightful read :D
ReplyDeleteI am a lowly staff member to a most privileged feline. I so enjoyed this! Spencer is kanzensakura

There may be a little snap here at the furry felines. But ultimately we still give them a home with us and somehow can't live without them.
ReplyDeleteWe really enjoyed this. Not being a cat person, I still get it. In fact, it made me think of people with this sort of personality. Great title with the Egyptian allusion and their royal stances.
ReplyDeleteHa - an amusing write with the pets - I know how it feel when your house is their run -
ReplyDeleteYes! This is the absolute truth :-)
ReplyDeletedamn cats in hats... ~
