809 - Sundry Haikus

Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week were: filth, addicted, and defiant.

Haiku 1.

We choose what offends—
One’s muck is another’s cream.
Filth is subjective.

◊◊◊

Haiku 2.

Addicted to gods;
Faith in fairies and voodoo—
Why do we need them?

◊◊◊

Haiku 3.

He stands defiant,
Denying the obvious—
The rich coal miner.

  5. I feel that there is more addiction to goods than to gods alas.. But maybe it's still the purpose of those divine beings.

  7. All three are dope... the 2nd. I often wonder, tho I believe in a God, that belief doesn't rule my life and way of living.

  8. we choose... poorly, so often. funny, that 2nd one, the 2nd line I somehow read as "very volcano". The dementia must be setting in... ~

  9. Delightful and true! We deny our truths and affirm our wrong choices. This is most surely the cream of haiku!
