Haiku Horizons prompt: burn
Fire when ready.
Eternal hellfire.
Strange for a forgiving God—
A contradiction.
◊
Unpredictable—
Our heart can burn for someone
And surprise our brain.
◊
A warm crackling fire;
It is just so comforting.
What? Damn the climate!
◊
A book will ignite:
Fahrenheit four fifty one.
Cold stupidity.
◊
Kids—full of mischief!
They will grab hold of your arm,
Give a Chinese burn.
◊
We’ll burn all the coal!
Lemmings racing to the cliff.
Come on, bring it on!
◊
A summer sunburn—
A rite of passage back then.
There are regrets now.
◊
Eucalyptus oil:
Gives a beautiful blue haze
And burns very well.
