The Sunday Whirl presents twelve words for us to use in a creative writing piece.
This weeks words are:
Cloaked, ruins, ancient, lace, communes, stitched, spirits, wind, drive, curling, icy, ground
Tapestry, Unstitched.
In the tapestry of life, we're all connected.
Each one of us is a gift to those around us
helping each other be who we are,
weaving a perfect picture together.
-- Anita Moorjani
Communes in the bush
Green tea, tofu and reflection.
Ancient ruins in the jungle
Cloaked in a fig-tree lace.
Spirits soar by the sea
The wind is driving, icy.
A fire on the ground.
Smoke curling, swirling, gone.
Are they all linked?
Yes and no. But mostly.
◊
And how I wish that we saw the linkages and didn't focus on the differences.
ReplyDeleteLove how you used those twelve words and managed to capture so much in such a concise way. One moment, something feels solid and real, and the next - it’s gone…
ReplyDeleteBig question - “Are they all linked?” That feels like one of those questions where the answer depends on the day (and maybe how much wine or green tea you’ve had). Some days, it seems like everything is connected in this magical dance; other days, it all feels like a chaos.
But whether we clearly see the connections or not, what really matters is knowing they’re there - quietly holding everything together in ways we may never fully understand.
Enjoyed reading. Thank you
Some days it feels like no one is linked.
