Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week were bitter, manipulate and tight.
Shackled
Politicians manipulate—
A universal rule.
When things are tight
They lie like thieves
And take us all for fools.
Docile
We feign a limpid smile.
Grieve, but passively collude—
Collude and so capitulate
To bitter servitude.

ReplyDeleteI have my theories...I think an Indonesian/Oz strong alliance would be very powerful in this region ...perhaps too strong for the liking of some. Methinks deliberate sabotage of the relations to weaken the region.!
Quite possibly.
DeleteCollusion is painful..even in my micro political situation it's the thing that drives me (more) bananas.. :~
ReplyDeleteAgreed. The commoner has to step out of its docile and grieving role if (s)he needs to effectuate any change. Clever work. Loved it.
