743 - The Spy

Sunday Scribblings2 has the prompt ‘safe from prying eyes’.

The Australian Government is pushing to have
greater surveillance powers to ‘fight terrorism’.

The Spy

The Government, or possibly worse,
Is watching what you do.
Nasty folk who watch your life
And twist or misconstrue
Your choices
Against their inner voices
And knife
You for apparent failings.
Revile them with a fiery curse,
Ignore their hapless wailings.

  1. I suspect that anyone who watches my life would be bored to sobs. And if they continue bored to death.

    2. Considering your size and shape, I wouldn't suggest you bad-mouth the trolls.

Excuse me, as the team lead for the Eastern Suburbs Troll Collective, I wish to protest at the maligning of trolls.

  3. Can't you just pull the blinds. The Govt's too stupid to know what it's looking for and wouldn't recognise it if it found it.

    1. Oh great. I can see it now. I search for a recipe for 'Bomb Alaska' and find myself renditioned to Guantanamo.

  4. Governments which want to have "greater surveillance powers to ‘fight terrorism’" are terrorist organizations in themselves. You heard it for the Bear, who would never mislead you.

Pece, joy, and Bear hugs, Cosmo.

    1. They create it and then cure it. Well, no, not really.

    1. Could be worse. It could be Eric Abetz. I understand he has found a 1950's paper suggesting that teat watching leads to hairy palms.

  6. We used to have a neighbour across the street from us when I was kid who was always peeping through her blinds on her verandah. Silly woman...the blinds didn't go right to the floor so her feet were always visible!

  7. Australian government politicians have become a laughing stock for their naivety and an embarrassment to the Australians who put them in power last year. If this wasn't so serious we could have a laugh at the situation like the rest of the world would if they knew we existed!
