933 - The Mask

Haiku Horizons has the prompt: mask.

The Mask

We all wear a mask.
Few see who we really are—
It is protection

We all wear a mask.
We wear many masks, in fact.
Playing many roles.

We all wear a mask.
Clowns have known the truth for years.
Survival tactic.

  1. Even without physically wearing one we all wear a mask. Funny that one likes not to reveal much of ourselves! Very true Cosmo!

  2. I wish any of my masks were as dramatic, exotic and beautiful as the one pictured.

  3. You might like this

    The Road (encrypted haiku)

    We hunt after this
    In seasons that hold ever
    That road used to hope

    (message in first letters)

  4. My father-in-law had eyebrows like that.

You've come this far - thank you.
Take your time, look around,
There is lots to see.
