Sunday Scribblings has the prompt 'Wander'.
Simplicity
“I wander lonely as a cloud”
Wordsworth relayed one day.
A host of golden daffodils
Rewarding his foray.
He knew a very simple truth—
Distilled,
The essence of life’s quest:
Of all the pleasures we’re allowed,
The simple ones are best.

So very true. I seek the simple life and simple pleasures at all times; but there are some, unfortunately, who enjoy impeding one's path.
ReplyDeleteThe simple joys give me pleasure out of all proportion to their size.
ReplyDeleteThere is always great pleasure to observe nature in almost any form. Flowers shouting out "cross pollinate me" are among the best. Even less attractive bugs and animals are still a delight to observe on their rounds. Ants on the other hand have no decorum and often find their way into my socks...damn them.
ReplyDeleteBeauty in nature and the small details of life can sustain a person for a long time.
ReplyDeleteSimple life, high thinking:)
ReplyDeleteEloquent and rather moving...
ReplyDeleteAmen Brother! There are more of them and they’re generally cheaper and easier on a body to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteVery nicely written, JCN : )
This is cool!
