Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week were Digress, Cringe and Blunder.
A Digression
It’s a blunder that we all make
From time to time through life:
To carry baggage for too long.
It’s easier that the strife
That comes
That subdues
Beguiles and numbs
The strong,
The weak
The proud,
The slow
Those who cringe
And those who’s sole mistake
Is just to not let go.

So true Mr N, BUT it is so hard to let go if you feel you were wronged, but it hurts more to hold the internal white ant of hate.
ReplyDeleteHate is like drinking poison and hoping the other person will die.
DeleteAgree with faux Buddha. If you hate, your opponent wins. Those who do wrong to others will eventually destroy themselves and are invariably miserable which they richly deserve.
DeleteThe best revenge is to find happiness with nice people. Delete the dross from your thinking.
Unfortunately, I know from experience exactly what you mean.
ReplyDeleteVery much relatable; very wise words and excellent read
ReplyDeleteJust let go! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't it amazing how emotionally heavy the things which really should be jettisoned can be. Thank you - this is spot on.
ReplyDeleteWise words. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIndeed...true
ReplyDeleteYes, so very important to let go of our baggage!! Makes a much easier 'walk.'
ReplyDelete"And those who’s sole mistake
ReplyDeleteIs just to not let go." - So many of us can relate to that.
Brilliant poem.
Sometimes our grasp is so strong on our baggage we find it difficult to release our hold. Our hands are cramped and set in position.
