CXXXV - Tombstone

.
One Minute Writer had a topic called "Epitaph"
"What would you like your gravestone to say?"

Alternatively...

Here lies the body of J Cosmo
He scribbled a note or two, on the go;
Now that he's gone and there's no more notes
Will anyone remember what he wrote?

  1. Well probably, as his ghost is clearly continuing his blog...

  2. I don't remember who it was who said it, but they wanted their tombstone to read:

He was good. He died. And now he is good and dead.

I think I want my to read: Wow.

  5. Of course they'll remember...you probably have folders full of past posts to keep in going into the afterlife.

  6. Loved the headstone. It's so you. What does Mrs. Newbery think of it?

    Maybe mine will simply say

  7. (mine....)
    Here I lie
    please don't cry
    not in pain,
    just 'late' again.
And craving some sugar cream pie.

On the other hand, I have a wart....
    but it's gone now.

    No...

Here lies J Cosmo, famed of his poetry
    Notedly never of notoriety.
    His words true and smooth,
    unfortunately, HEdidn't move,
When the train came, though we couldn't actually make a clear identity.

  8. Oh, the end of life, that is, the interpretation of life. Do not need too many inscriptions, as long as he once came to this world.

  11. Remember we will
'Cause he gave us a thrill
With his odes to the ordinary.
    We'll smile through our tears
    And stifle our fears
And commit all his verses to mem'ry.

  12. The body has gone but his words might live on,
    so,
Dont wipe your mouth on your serviette, for you will erase his words with your Vinaigrette!

    Best wishes Blu
