XLIV - Nicky

This week's writing challenge from Mama's Losin' It
is to write about a chaotic incident involving a pet.

Nicky was a bulldog
Nicky looked a pug
Nicky had no braincells
Nicky was a thug.

Nicky bit the lawn mower
Nicky loved to brawl
Nicky took the neighbours son
And pinned him to the wall.

  1. bad nicky!!!
cute wee bit of poetry though .. :)

  2. He bit the lawn mower?

What happened to the neighbour's son?

So many questions, so few answers. You're teasing us!

  3. Yep. Bit the lawn mower. Lost his bottom front teeth for his trouble.

The kid escaped shaken, not stirred.

  4. lol. I love it.

  5. Cute poem...but bad Nicky!! Lucky Nicki--who didn't lose more than a couple teeth from biting the lawnmower!! :)

  6. Visiting from MamaKat's writing workshop links! This was pure genius...the poem, the photo! I love could be published! I'm going to come back and check out your blog more if this is something you put together in just a day or two! Thanks!

  7. Thug... apt description of Nicky methinks. Funny stuff, as always, JCN. You know you ought to do it more often, right? Yeah, you know it.

  8. Hysterical. You really have a gift, you know. Publish, man. Really!!

  9. My first smile of the morning - THANKS!

  10. What a meanie, Nicky is. I enjoy reading your work every week!

  11. I love the poem, so funny!

  12. Haha, this is great. :) Nicky sounds fun. I feel sorry for the lawn mower!

  13. SOmetimes Sophia is right. You could so be a published author if you arent' already. Just what you have on this site right now is worth a t least one book, and I'd buy a copy too!! Great little work!!

  14. i wouldn't say that there was anything actually "great" about my short this week...or any week for that matter...and in the past it would've mortified me to post something that is sooo very average...but it's exercise...and no one should make fun of exercise. so i had to tell myself that it's okay that it's not that amazing...i'm exercising. ;-)

you, on the other hand, are a rather clever gent.

  15. Is this being a goodly thing or is this being a thing of regret?

You've come this far - thank you.
Take your time, look around,
There is lots to see.
