526 : Fundamentally Wrong.

Theme Thursday has the prompt 'Evolution'.
I think we were supposed to be creative and
do something other than the obvious.
But the obvious can be very satisfying.

Fundamentally Wrong.

“There are no apes in our design”
Is the Fundamental case;
They say that we should not forget
Eden was our birthing place.

Since then
We haven’t changed again.

And yet,
With commendable resolve,
Their strategies to hold that line
Continue to evolve.

    Great use of the word!

  2. Love it! I actually work with people who believe the earth was created 6000 years ago. I am continually biting my tongue. I'm amazed I still have one.

  3. Sadly, those people who survive through such evolution DON'T fall into a category I can accept as 'the fittest'.

  5. I think it is all metaphoric and most don't or won't accept this. What is it that they say only a few genetic markers away and we would be an ape. Which does make one wonder if we could have a planet of the apes kinda thing happen someday. Oh wait, supposedly we are already a planet of the apes. The truth is that no one will ever know exactly where we come from during our lifetime. So we just have to accept and have some faith that there is something out there which cannot be explained. I think there are so many mysteries and I guess until some scientist comes up with all the answers then we can believe that nature is truly evolving into something of which we may have some control but a natural evolution occurs whether we want that change or not. I like how we work so hard to stop the extinction of so many things but then sometimes I wonder if we are stopping a natural evolution that is supposed to occur.

Happy Theme Thursday and thanks for sharing this with us. May you have a fantastic weekend watching things evolve.

    God bless.

  6. That last stanza speaks to me- it perfect.

With the exception of the "dead" language of Latin, all language has evolved/changed over the millennium, it had to. Yet with gain there is loss. For all the words added to our lexicon each year, others become obsolete. Since King James "The Word" has been -well- monkeyed around with so much and yet its power still holds true for those who believe.

  9. All life comes from exploding novas and human intelligence is the result of a virus or maybe an hour is a billion years and an ape was hit in the head by a falling coconut. questions evolve into questions
